Here are some examples of how ChIMES is making a difference in San Diego:
ChIMESConnect offers weekly classes at The Monarch School for unhoused families, providing classes at The Chrysalis: Monarch School Center for the Arts for families with preschool-age children preparing to enter Monarch.
ChIMESConnect offers a specialized curriculum for teen parents in partnership with the CalSafe program at Garfield High School in San Diego Unified. In 2024-25, ChIMES will partner with Carnegie Hall in New York City to bring The Lullaby Project to students in this program.
ChIMESConnect offers monthly community classes at the Encinitas Library and the Chula Vista Library.
ChIMESConnect offers classes in dozens of transitional kindergarten and preschool classrooms in the Chula Vista Elementary School District.
ChIMESConnect offers classes through the NTC Foundation’s Liberty School as part of the foundation’s elementary arts education programs for San Diego underserved youth.
