MAKING A DIFFERENCE
ChIMES offers special programs to serve our parters in the San Diego community.
Here are some examples of how ChIMES is making a difference:
- ChIMES offers weekly classes at The Monarch School for unhoused families, providing classes at The Chrysalis: Monarch School Center for the Arts for families with preschool age children preparing to enter Monarch.
- ChIMES offers a specialized curriculum for teen parents in partnership with the CalSafe program at Garfield High School in San Diego Unified. In 2024-25, ChIMES will partner with Carnegie Hall in New York City to bring The Lullaby Project to students in this program.
- ChIMES offers monthly community classes at the Encinitas Library and the Chula Vista Library.
- ChIMES offers classes in dozens of transitional kindergarten and preschool classrooms in the Chula Vista Elementary School District.
- ChIMES offers classes through the NTC Foundation’s Liberty School as part of the foundation’s elementary arts education programs for San Diego underserved youth.
