FAQs
The Opus Project is a free after-school instrumental music program for elementary-school children in San Diego, Chula Vista, and Santee. We cultivate joy, curiosity, and empathy through the music-making process. Sign up to join your Opus band at your school.
The Opus Project is free for all students accepted into the program. Students also receive a free instrument loan, Opus t-shirt, and learning materials with admission.
Students at Los Altos, Lauderbach, Central, and PRIDE Academy can learn to play the violin, viola, or cello. (Some locations also offer the double bass.) Opus students are sized at the beginning of the school year to ensure the best instrument fit.
Opus rehearsals are held twice a week for 2 hours after school. Check out Our Programs to see schedules by site.
